oh, hi! i'm rob purdie. i live in brooklyn, work for the economist, organize the NYC scrum user group and my MBTI is INFJ just like gandhi and camus!

i've seen these guys a couple of times now, always on the shuttle from grand central to times square (or the other way).

been seeing this stencil around my neighbourhood and like it quite a bit. here's another one.
like i said in a previous post, back in june i was invited by michael silverman of duo consulting to present at web content 2010. duo has posted videos of all the presentations from the conference now - the video of mine is above :)

frankie and i went to boston for the weekend and went whale watching, people! we saw humpback whales! we saw a fin whale! a fin whale! it was mind-blowing.

i'm presenting at the june meeting of agile NYC next week - joe krebs interviewed me for the agile NYC podcast to promote the event :)
register here if you want to come!
earlier this week i got to go to chicago for the first time (w00t!) to present at web content 2010. slides above and here. thanks to the good people at duo consulting for inviting me and to my backchannel tweeps for their support. also: shout-outs to @benbrown, @eaton, @halvorson, @karenmcgrane, @robert_rose and @spenceke. great to see you all :)

monday and tuesday of this week i went on ica top facilitation methods training at the new school. and it was life-changing. what i already knew/reconfirmed (but had forgotten): it's so not about me. facilitation is about inclusive participation (all voices heard, no perspectives dominate) and profound respect (everyone's honored and trusted to do the work they have set out to do).
